We Love the West

Western Culture fascinates us. The music, poetry, and spirt of the West touches people world-wide. On this site, you will see images of the West, hear some of the best Western music and poetry out there, and find information for shows and gatherings.

Kip Calahan and Dale Young
In a small country church in Cotton City, New Mexico just north of Animas, Kip Calahan married Chief Dale Young. Close friends and family were there, including cowboy poet Ross Knox and western singer Jim Jones. The wedding was scheduled for March 2009, but the love is too strong and they didn’t want to wait, so some of their close friends were not able to make it…sending blessings and well-wishes in lieu of being there personally. Dale met Kip in Douglas when she sang “Happy Birthday” to him and her voice and eyes were all it took for the spark to be lit. Following the ceremony and reception, there was an after-party at Kip’s Mother’s home in Rodeo, NM.
